Nothing like fresh tortillas!!!
I have used this great little press a number of times now to make corn tortillas. The first thing is to make sure to use the correct corn flour. Just ground corn flour did not work well for me. I went searching for masa harina and found some in the health food shop. I just followed the instructions on the back (add hot water, mix and then sit for a while). No more hand rolling required!
I bought this Press to make Tortillas (Flour & Corn versions), but so far, have only used it to make Indian Chapati. It works an absolute treat! Saves so much time not having to hand-roll (yay!). I definitely recommend using a sheet of plastic against the cast iron surface (so your item doesn't stick). Petite yet Heavy Duty Press
This press works well and while small (an advantage when storing) nonetheless provides ample stability and strength for making small tortillas.
